Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and talented Video Editing Intern to join our team at Saycheezz. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for video editing, a keen eye for detail, and a desire to learn from experienced professionals. As a Video Editing Intern, you will assist our video editors in creating beautiful, cohesive, and emotionally engaging wedding and event films while gaining hands-on experience in various aspects of professional video editing.
Responsibilities:
- Assist video editors in editing wedding and event footage into cinematic highlight reels, full-length videos, and social media clips.
- Help with the selection and editing of music tracks to enhance the emotional impact of the videos.
- Assist with color correction and grading to ensure visual consistency and aesthetic appeal.
- Apply special effects and transitions under the guidance of senior video editors.
- Organise and manage digital video files and project assets.
- Learn and apply best practices in video editing techniques and software.
- Contribute to creative brainstorming sessions for upcoming projects.
- Provide general support to the video editing team as needed.
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and a good sense of timing, pacing, and storytelling.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to take direction and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
- A portfolio showcasing your video editing work, including any relevant school projects or personal work.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Film Production, Media Arts, or a related field.
- Familiarity with wedding or event video editing.
